Description

Provided with images from a photo shoot in a London cafe, i was approached by Balance to create album cover artwork for the Electric05 release on their boutique minimal and house sub label Balance:Electric. The goal was to tie together the sleek, cool, minimal stylings of the audio content with the textural feel of the shoot. In an effort to represent both the warm/woody and cool/digital aspects of the audio, I layered in simple metallic 3d shapes and reflected within them the textures of the photos, effectively tying together the digital and analog nature of both the recording and design.
